Together we can be a strong voice for those
that cannot speak for themselves.

The current list of loving cats we have for adoption

Why should you adopt from us when you can go to the animal shelter and get a pet for much cheaper? Because all of our pets have been to the vet several times to insure they are in perfect health. Many of our animals are pulled from animal shelters and need to be dewormed and given medicine. Our pets are all up to date with shots and spayed or neutered (or we give you a certificate to get it done for free). The kitten fee is $95, and we will often offer discounts for older cats as they are much harder to find homes for. If you are interested in any cat in particular, please fill out a cat pre-adoption form about the cat you have in mind. If you have any questions or would like to see the pet, email (info@fayettehumane.org) or call us (770-487-1073) and we will contact you to tell you more about the pet. Often a foster parent can meet during the week to meet the cat. To see all cats at once, come to the PETsMART in Fayette Pavilion or Peachtree City on Saturday afternoons from Noon-4 p.m. (we do not have a shelter). All pets can be taken home the day you adopt them after you fill out paperwork. Please stop by one of our adoptions or contact us for more information. (Please note that we are not affiliated with the Fayette County Animal Shelter and you must contact them for information on animals at the shelter. The phone number for the shelter is 770-631-7210.) Having pets is proven to lower stress!

Adoption fee includes:
Spay/neuter, microchip w/ registration (for most kitties), up to date shots (all shots if they are old enough), deworming, flea treatment, coupons provided by Petsmart for discounts on great items (some free!), and a DVD on what to do after you bring your new cat home.

Daphne

Daphne wandered up to someones house as a stray. She is a very sweet girl who will curl up in your lap and take a nap. She knows she isn't a beauty queen and she isn't crazy about other cats so she is hoping someone has the heart to take her because she's so sweet. She is about 9 months old as of 10/20/07. She is up to date on shots, spayed, and microchipped. Only $50 since she is almost an adult and most people want kittens, and she needs a home so badly.

They are looking for a quiet home (no kids) with someone who understands how traumatic this can be. Susie is shy, however, when she occassionally has something to say, will be heard! If you open your house and heart to this pair, a discounted adoption fee is offered.

She is now in excellent health, spayed, all shots. Her owner is moving to another country and can't bear to quarenteen her for 6 months so Willace needs a purrfect new home. Cat pre-adoption form

Survey says 2 cats better than 1!
According to an article recently published in CatFancy magazine, 80% vets agree that cats are social creatures and it is better to have 2 or more instead of just one. Just one cat will get lonely and prefers the company of another cat. Some of a cat's bad behavior can be attributed to loneliness. "Two cats are just as easy as one. Not only will they keep each other company, but owning two cats will provide a happier living environment." Veterinary Behaviorist Stefani Schwartz says.
