Ernie & Blackjack (now named Tigger & Cole) were rescued on the same day out of different animal shelters. They were separated in foster homes but were adopted together and love each other already. They love to play and their moms love them very much.

I adopted a 4-month old kitten in November, 2008.  His name was Tony, and now he is called Joey.  What a joy he is.  He fit in immediately, always uses his litter box, and is filling out and growing like a weed.  He's not even clawing at the furniture!  I'd lived with my cat Jenny for over 21 years, and I wasn't sure what it would be like trying to love another pet.  But, Joey made it easy.  He's very playful, smart, and cuddly.  And, it's even more meaningful knowing that I helped an orphan find a loving home.  I can't say enough about the volunteers at the Humane Society who take these little animals in as foster parents and keep them safe and loved until they are adopted.  Thank you again!

Bugsy fell down a well and that caused ulcers on both eyes. He still cannot see well but was adopted by a woman who is in love with him and he is now a traveling dog!

KaeJae was adopted by us in June, 2007.  He is a JRT mix and is full of energy.  He's spoiled, graduated from clicker training class at FunPups and lives a very good life with us.  Thank you to FCHS for doing what you do and giving us such a great dog!

I adopted an Akita/Lab mix on 12/8/2007.  His name was Luke and is now Jaxon; he was 9-weeks of age at the time of adoption and is growing larger everyday!  He was adopted with the notion of wanting a companion for our almost 24-month old Boston Terrier/Boxer mix, Cocoa.  It took them about a day to get used to the other but now they are the best of friends!

Jaxon has become a delightful part of our family and is almost completely pottie trained.  He is a fast learner!  He enjoys playing with every toy in his eye view and loves to play with my son, Jadyn every chance he gets.  We are so grateful to have walked into PetSmart in Peachtree City, GA the afternoon of 12/8!

Trixie is a 2 yr old Dalmatian mix with beautiful blue eyes and is deaf. She was adopted from FCHS last spring as a companion to the  family's Irish Wheaton Terrier, Simon.  They saiy she has been a wonderful addition to their home and family.  Simon adores her and they are constant companions.  The love to play tag, tug and wrestle.  When she was brought home she understood one hand sign for sit.  She now understands about 6 hand signs including, stay, come, eat/treat and go outside.

Spencer and his 2 brothers were rescued from being put down at the shelter at about 9 weeks old because they were feral. Through a lot of hard work, a FCHS volunteer helped socialize them and Spencer definitely came around the fastest. He was adopted by a nice woman who has renamed him to Bonzo and says he is totally spoiled. He is such a good kitty and you could never tell that he used to be feral!

Mia was adopted this year after her former family had a baby who developed an allergy to cats. Her new family was a little nervous that Mia would have a hard time adjusting since she is 7 years old and they have other cats, but say she has been amazing and adjusted very quickly. They love her and it seems like she's always been a member of their family!

Elliott (formerly Sonny) was adopted from us this past summer. His family says they are in love with him and took him to the Carroll County fun pet show where he won best trick! Way to go Elliott!!

Garfield was taken in after he was found being abused by teens. They threw rocks at him and slammed him against a dumpster. He was scared and shy at first but slowly learned to trust humans - now look at him! His new owner says he is very loving and follows her around. He even sleeps on her laptop when she's on the computer!
