Harvey is such an adorable
loving and gentle dog, he
has fitted in to our lives
and our dog Megs life so
well. We all love him very
much, he is very funny,
learning new tricks every
day, rings the bells on the
front door to go outside to
do his business, wont go to
sleep unless you rock him
like a baby and follows me
around like a shadow-even
sits in the towel basket
while I shower as you can
see! He is growing very fast
every day. We will send you
more photo’s as he grows.

Calliope is doing great and we
love her so much!! She is so
affectionate and won't stop
purring! She loves to play with
toys she creates. We got her a
lot of cat toys when she came to
live with us, but she likes
wadded up pieces of paper and
strings she finds the best! She
sleeps with me every night in
her soft
kitty bed we got her and she has
made our life so happy again
since our other kitty, Cody went
to heaven.
Thank you so much for letting us
adopt her and thank you for
taking such good care of her -
she is a very special kitty!

Our
family adopted Doodles when he
was eight months old, three
months ago. He is the best dog I
could ever ask for. We had
another dog, Biscuit, and he got
very sick and had to be put
down, but Doodles made Biscuit's
life complete because he was old
and was always by himself, so it
gave him company when my brother
and I were at school. Doodles
has touched us in so many ways
that we believe it was fate that
I had volunteered that Sunday he
was at the adoptions and that
Doodles was a message from God.
We all love Doodles and Biscuit
so much.

KiKu was adopted by us in
September, 2011. She was part
of the group of the 6 Japanese
Chins that were rescued from a
back yard breeder in New
Orleans. They were known as the
NOLA 6. Despite a sad first
year to her life, our KiKu has
adapted well to living the royal
life of a Chin. She's in
training to be a therapy dog.
We adore her and are so grateful
for all the great things FCHS
does and for saving the lives of
the NOLA 6 and giving us the
privilege of adding an amazing
dog to our family. Thank you!

This sweet pup was named "Ilsa"
when I adopted her Sept 3,
2011...but she now goes by
"Jasmine"! She is a joyful,
playful addition and everyday is
more wonderful because she is in
it! I'm so thankful that Jasmine
is in my life!

Twyla formerly named Maggie
and Alvin formerly named
Simon are doing great. Alvin
is a very energetic kitten.
Twyla is more laid back, but
she loves to play with Alvin
and they both love their
toys. They had no problem
with getting settled in,
they were not shy at all.
Every day is exciting and
fun with these two. Thank
you for giving them to us.
We love them very much!!!

I recently
adopted an older cat from Pet Smart in
Peachtree City and wanted to let you know
what a wonderful addition Chrisy has been to
my home. I picked her because I thought as
a senior tabby cat who was very timid, she
would have problems finding a home. She has
brought a lot of joy into our household. As
a cat owner for most of my life, I don’t
think I have ever seen a sweeter, more good
natured cat. She is a love and I’m so lucky
that she found me.
Thanks so much,
Del Bailey

We're celebrating Sky's adoption day and
fifth birthday. It's hard to believe
we've been together now for two years.
My precious girl still enjoys the little
things in life, like playing with her
stash of toys, belly rubs, snuggling,
napping on one of her sunny window
shelves and her special kitty treats.
She's a very sweet and loving girl and
I'm happy her "forever home" is with me.
Thank you again for bringing us
together.

Just a note to let you know that Traveler, now
named Teddy is doing well. It took a couple of
weeks for him to get used to the routine at our
house but he has fit in nicely. He runs and
plays with our other dog, Bentley. When it's
time to go to bed all I have to say is "time to
go to the crib" and he goes upstairs and gets in
his crate. He has a wonderful personality and is
really a joy to have in the house. I've attached
a picture of Teddy.
Thank you for bringing this wonderful dog into
our lives!

Kruz learned how to use the doggie door
within days, and goes and comes as he
chooses to the fenced backyard. He walks
well on a leash, and loves to ride in the
car or truck. He has adapted well to all of
us and as you see from the pictures, has
become one of the pack and is sleeping all
night.
The above is a quick look at his life now so
that all of you who know and love Kruz could
be at peace and not worry.
Again, thank you so much.

Warren is soooooo
loved by our family. We couldn't imagine
life without him. Soon Warren will be
reuniting with one of his brothers, Toby
(Dillard). Toby's mom and I have been
keeping intouch via facebook and both are
excited about bringing them together again
since adopted. My family adopted
Warren back in December 2009. Hoping to see
the other siblings on here too.

Hi. We adopted Dillard, now Toby, in
February, 2010. He was a tiny puppy then.
He is amazing, sweet and loving. I do
believe he still thinks he is an 8 pound
puppy and not the 100 plus pound boy he is
now as he loves to cuddle. I’ve included
some pictures of Sam, our Sheltie. They
love to chase each other around the yard. I
would hope others send pictures of Toby’s
siblings. I would love to see what they
look like now, too!!

Just want to let you know how grateful we are
that these kitties have come into our lives!
You can see from the picture they are quite
comfortable in Brewster's bed. It took a week or
so for them to come down the stairs and
since then they have taken over the house.
They are still a bit frightened of new people in
our home, but they make progress everyday.

This is "Pooh," a 13 year old kitty who was suffering from a
bladder blockage. The FCHS contributed $100 toward his very
costly surgery and owner, Kim, wrote to thank us and sent
along a photo and an update. She said that Pooh's stitches
had been removed and he's "on the mend." We wish Pooh a
continued and rapid recovery!!!!! |

Snickers and Tiger (formerly Muffin and Spitfire) are doing great; still full of energy, love, and making us giggle daily. They are really growing. Both of them are over five pounds now. They still play together, sleep together, and lick each other. They are best buddies and we are very glad that we got two kittens from the same litter. They bring more joy to our house than I ever expected. They are so sweet.

Thought I would send you a pic of Micha. He has come into his own and really is behaving like a little dog. He loves to run full speed, loves his toys, especially tug-of-war , but is still very affectionate. A wonderful little companion and he has bonded to me like glue. I love him dearly.
